Nordic Water, a Sulzer brand, is announcing the release of its latest annual corporate sustainability report. This provides a transparent overview of the company’s progress in advancing its environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies.
Sustainability Report 2021
Nordic Water’s 2021 Sustainability Report, available here, details the company’s approach to providing equitable and adequate access to water, which is inseparable from the brand’s operational success.
The report maps broader achievements in lowering the environmental impact of the business, its operations as well as the entire value chain, including suppliers and customers. To this end, the report collects the relevant benchmarking data on three key areas – People, Planet and Profit – and presents the results from the 2021 Materiality Assessment. A key highlight from 2021 includes the transition to using exclusively low-carbon energy across all Nordic Water’s facilities.
Sadaf Saremi, Sustainability Manager at Nordic Water, comments: “Sustainability is in our DNA and we believe we can contribute globally to creating an equitable and eco-conscious world. Our annual sustainability report represents a cornerstone of our commitment to drive positive change and transparency across the entire value chain and the wider community. We are fortunate to be working with a team of highly motivated employees, stakeholders and partners that share a common vision. Thanks to this group, we were able to make substantial progress and achievements in 2021 and I am sure we will celebrate the realization of our ambitious 2024 and 2040 climate goals”
